Webafrica ignores his customer in crisis and they blame it on Covid19

For days I experienced internet speed via Telkom LTE at 0.2Mbps. I logged a case on 27-Mar-2020. Webafrica ignored my case and on 31 March I cancelled my service. The contract states you have to give 1 calendar month notice. I put in the cancellation for 1 April 2020, which under normal conditions be the notice period till end April. On 1 April Webafrica terminated my service.

They could not respond to my Support case, but were very eager to cancel immediately.

On query I was informed they amended the contract so that people can cancel immediately. This is how Webafrica 'assist' their customers to get out of contracts.

I did not get or sign an amendment on my contract. I was also not informed about this new 'agreement'.

From my point of view I was terminated as I was one of few people that still had Uncapped LTE and this way they good get out of this contract.

I was informed I cannot cancel the cancellation, which is also advertised and given as an option, should you which to change your mind.

Their suggested I must sign a new contract, but need to get a new SIM card which can only be delivered in 5 days.

First mistake I made when I signed up for this deal originally, via Webafrica, was to take a solution from Telkom. I was a Telkom customer and cancelled 4 contracts with them. I was under the impression Webafrica would be able to mobilize Telkom to give a better service. But was I wrong.

If you want to make use of Telkom services, against my advise, do direct business with them and save a lot of money. Cut the middleman like Webafrica out, as they do not add value. They have zero power over Telkom.

I must admit Webafrica seemed to be different. I like their image and energy.

But I am very disappointed. Seems when you have a crisis they just not there. And to do this to me at such a stressful time.

There is a saying; "When the heat is turned up the true colors are revealed"

Very disappointed Webafrica, very disappointed!
