WebAfrica I'd stay away if I were you...

I tried to switch the Church internet account from ADSL to LTE in July and submitted the Rica documents as is required, only to constantly get a message on the dashboard that they are not valid.

I wrote 4 emails asking what the problem with the documents was, not ONE was answered. I made in the region of 11 phone calls and never once got through to anyone until today and even she could not help me, told me to ask for Melissa in the Rica department.

I held on for approximately 45 minutes in addition to the first 20 I waited for someone to answer the call after I picked the department from the options given.

Eventually, I gave up on Melissa and then tried the WhatsApp line which I had also tried umpteen times before.

Eventually, I got through to Courtney who then proceeded to tell me the address I supp**** was older than 3 months.

When I indicated that I have not received any accounts from the municipality I assume because they have also been on lock-down for the last 4 months so I do not have a current one I was told to go and do an Affidavit!

This information could have been given to me on day one when I made the inquiry as to what was wrong with the Rica documents, to which NO ONE EVER responded.

If they had given me this information I could have gotten the Affidavit done and sent to them on the first day.

Subsequently, I have had to pay for the LTE as well as the ADSL rental for another month as the LTE has not been activated because of the Rica documents. And they now expect me to pay another month's rental until the end of September because the service was not canceled before the beginning of August, this after I paid them for a non-existing LTE service as well as one months rental for DSL as well.

I should have known from past experience when I switched my personal ADSL to LTE that also took almost a month to be activated because of some obscure reason they gave me saying Telkom only approves Rica's every 3rd day, which made absolutely no sense.

That issue also cost me time and loads of money holding on for one person only to; put me through to another person, then another, and I was getting dizzy from the roundabout we were playing! And then they did not have the convenient Covid-19 excuse for being unable to take one's call/answer an email/reply on WhatsApp!

I just reached the end of my tether today and canceled the subscriptions, completely.

I would not recommend WebAfrica in a month of Sundays because of their shoddy after-sales service.
