Webafrica - I don't even know where to begin.
I get a nosebleed even thinking about the joke this company has become, and it pains me to think that I am possibly not the only person subject to this level of bad service and incompetence. Webafrica have double debited me for my service. After an interminable wait on both the dial in helpline and the whatsapp service which is recommended by what they intend to be a commiserating voice, because of the time spent waiting for a call to be answered by a person. After holding for a lifetime the idiot man asks you if you want them to call you back (press 1) or if you want to speak to an agent (press 2) then you go back to the main menu and the idiot man asks you all the options again after you have already pressed 4 for BILLING because they stole my money. He also suggests that you don't want to waste your airtime and may want to use their super-duper whatsapp support. which is supposed to be super-fast. It is not. The prominent number on the website is for Sales. This makes sense only because one would need to replace the clients you estrange with the absolute shoddy treatment that is handed out. Whatsapp? One would think that a company that relies on sales and service has an actual number where service can be obtained. Same for the e-mail service; never a response. But then, it is a webafrica address, makes you wonder if it works. My bank account was debited with a double amount, which after many hours spent staring at whatsapp and waiting in a telephone queue In, I was promised a credit, but had to wait upto 10 days. Funny how my account is debited religiously every month, no 10 day break there. And what do you know, they have just billed me again. R2397 over 2 days for a service that is 799 per month. Have we been on lockdown and work from home for so long that the difference between a debit and a credit has been forgotten? The first double debit was not OK. The second put me into overdraft because not everyone has bags of money. I wonder who will pay my bank charges, or will I have to take up permanent residence on the helpline?
