Webafrica has no integrity
After having excellent service from Webafrica and not missing a single payment, we are super-disappointed in the fall-out after our cancellation and moving service providers.
Saying one thing and not being willing to do it, indicates a lack of integrity.
We received a note from a 'junior collections agent' - Shirley Mhlanhlo - indicating that they will follow legal action on an outstanding amount of a router (R1029) which they have confirmed verbally on a telephonic conversation that they will come and collect, but now no longer want to collect. (As we all know, even a verbal commitment is legally binding).
Initially Webafrica committed to collecting routers in a telephonic conversation on the 17th of July - which we confirmed that they are more than welcome to do. After numerous email threads Tsepang Telite, confirmed the following:
"We no longer arrange router collections, Tinus, the router would need to be returned to the address provided so that the charge can be removed off the account.
I responded: In the cancellation mail (pasted below) no mention was made of collection and/or payment of the router. Also - you have confirmed in a telephonic conversation with my wife on the 17th of July that you will be collecting the router and this is binding, so therefore the responsibility remains yours to come and collect the router. Your calls are being recorded and you can refer to the recorded call around lunch time on the 17th of July with my wife - Marguerite Potgieter. Let me be clear one last time: we are more than willing to return the router if you come and collect it, but it will not be our problem to get it to you.
This is just pathetic customer service and unacceptable.
