Webafrica Fibre

If you thinking of going to Webafrica for fibre. DONT!!

I have been a customer with them for a while. after having issues with my internet speed etc and couldn't get any support from them I decided to move to a new supplier.

I phoned them on 25.10.2019 to give the necessary notice. everything was loaded and notice period will end 1 December 2019. GREAT!!

I phoned them on the 25th of November to request that they release my line in order to move over to the new ISP, where I was told there billing system cant assist with the request but have to log it with Openserve to have the B nr transferred. apparently the dude that assisted me with the cancellation was supposed to ask me if im moving over to a new ISP or cancelling fibre in total. although I have told him that I am moving ISP because of the lack of service from Webafrica, he did not give me the option to request the transfer from Openserve.

so they only loaded the notice to Openserve on the 25th of November and they will take aprox, 14 days to release the line. Ok so after that I was transferred on WhatsApp to another agent who told me that everything will be available on the 1st of December for my new ISP to take over. We are now on 2nd December , phoned my new ISP and ask to check if they can take over the line. with no luck. the line is still locked with my ISP

so I phoned Webafrica , hold on for almost 30min before someone finally assisted me, just to be told that I (the customer) have to phone Openserve / Telkom to follow up on the release. You cant phone Openserve, so I phoned Telkom and obviously they weren't able to assist me.

Now im sitting with no internet at home due to the incompetence from Webafrica.

So I phoned Webafrica again in order to get this sorted. here we are a few hours later and only thing they can tell me is , I have to wait the 14 days for Openserve to release my line. after they were at fault by not requesting the release from Openserve,

they just tell me " Nothing we do now will change it."

this is the worst service ever received from a ISP supplier and will never in my life be a customer of them.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!
