Webafrica "expert customer support" ROFL!!!
My fibre was "limited" yesterday. I tried to call Webafrica. I was greeted by "seems like you have been in the queue for quite some time" from the first - an admission that they are aware that clients definitely will be spending "quite some time" trying to get hold of them. Quite some time? Try forever.
"Someone will be with you very shortly," the perky voice chirps. Obviously, their idea of "shortly" differs from mine. I tried multiple times - I held on for 10 minutes on one call and 20 on another, without speaking to anyone. It's so bad, I couldn't even get thought to sales, let alone customer support or billing.
"If you'd like a call back press 1 and one of our agents will be get back to you shortly... alternatively, press 2 to stay in the queue..." says the chirpy voice over and over. Hitting 1 takes you back to the first menu, so no callback. "Hey, is that right?" continues the voice. Very cute but not what an already irritated customer needs to hear. Another admission that they don't get things right. NO it is not right! Nothing about Webafrica is right.
The upshot is, I never got hold of anyone, and got no callback. Big surprise! But my service was cut off - for non-payment. My bad - I made a mistake when paying bills - but no excuse for terrible service. The warning email came AFTER they cut it off.
I tried the WhatApp chat line. Standard blah from the agent, who cut me off before I was finished, without asking if there was anything else I needed. I waited 10 minutes for another then gave up.
I paid immediately after my service was cut off and mailed proof of payment but am still waiting for my service to be restored. Yes, pandemic, I know, but other companies haven't fallen apart. "Expert customer support!" boasts the website. What a lie! The worst service I have experienced for a long, long time and I can't wait to ditch them. If I could give Webafrica no stars above or minus 5 I would.
