Webafrica charging for zero service after explicit written commitments and evading accountability
I requested a fiber infrastructure move on April 30th to secure a stable connection for my online teaching career. After being left entirely in the dark for a month with zero proactive updates, I spoke to agent Siseko M. on May 22nd. He explicitly confirmed on the record that I would NOT be billed until my new line was physically activated.
Today, May 30th, Webafrica deducted a full monthly fee from my account for an inactive service, despite Openserve's own logs flagging the address as "Unfeasible" and pending investigation. To make matters worse, I opened a support chat today to dispute this unauthorized debit. Instead of resolving the breach, agent Sihle G. claimed the system showed it as "active" proving a massive internal administrative error on Webafrica's part and tried to transfer me to the Provisioning team. The agent then intentionally dumped my chat back into an automated WhatsApp bot because the Provisioning department had already closed at 13:00.
This is a blatant financial breach, shocking customer service, and direct sabotage of my livelihood. I demand an immediate, manual reversal of this unauthorized debit back into my bank account, a complete freeze on my billing status, and immediate contact from an Escalations Manager.
