WebAfrica Be wary massive hidden costs
I signed up with Web Africa with the Black Friday deal. Free Router Free installation no contracts only month to month. This was the ad. A representative told me first month would be pro rata as I only got activated mid month. Full month fees was deducted. No pro rata...
Then I had to move premises. NOTE to all - Month to month means full calendar month, cancelling on the 1st means paying for the next month as well. Caught again. Trying to relocate, I allready app**** for new fibre with them, to my horror a fee of R2700 aditional to the extra month was deducted from my account. The only explanation is Clawback fees. This after a month have not been specified at all. So not doing a pro rata on month one and 2700 to relocate on free instalation and free equipment is what you get with WebAfica. Be warned this is the practise, email replies takes weeks and no one have answers. Advertising autority allready ruled against this, but they keep on doing it, it seems. I cant stay as a customer when I have to pay effective 3500 penalty if you take the aditional month notice into account, to move premises. Looking at prices of the equipment at major retailers, its not more than 1500 Luckily I now have the option to move other providers are cheaper, do your homework and be weary of the Clawback fees as it hurts your pocket!
