Webafrica and openserve

I have been trying to get a fibre installation for two weeks now... Every agent I speak on the whatsapp clearly has no idea how to assist me... I request a call and they stop chatting. The blame openserve yet can't get openserve to assist either

Morning Nehoulyn
We completely understand your frustration. Two weeks of trying to get your fibre installation sorted, only to be passed between teams without clear assistance, is not the experience we want for you. We also understand how frustrating it is to request a call and then feel like the conversation simply stops. We’ve raised this with our Activations team, who manage our Openserve orders, and have flagged them with the images you provided. They’ll investigate what’s holding up the installation and advise on the next steps as soon as possible. We appreciate you sticking with us while we work to get this moving. We’ll make sure the matter is progressed with the relevant team rather than leaving you to keep going back and forth.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

I am still awaiting some kind of feedback... I don't understand why there is such a hold up... When I placed the order the sales agent called almost immediately

Hi Nehoulyn What’s happening here we assure you is not the norm, and this particular request requires some additional administration from our Openserve partners before the service can be made active. The ONT (Openserve fibre unit) at the premises is currently delisted from the network, so a new order was submitted yesterday to get the process moving again. That said, the order needs to go through the standard validation process before the next steps can happen. If the ONT is picked up on the network during this process, the installation phase may be skipped. However, the standard turnaround time still applies while the order goes through the required process. This is to ensure everything is checked, validated, and activated accurately on the relevant fibre systems. As this is also a second-port request for a new tenant, a new order was required rather than simply activating the existing setup. We’re actively pushing to get the Openserve service operational for you as soon as possible. At this stage, there isn’t anything further we can action until the new order has completed its validation, but we’ll continue to monitor its progress. We appreciate your patience, and we hope this gives you a clearer picture of why this order is taking unusually long compared to the general activation process.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

Hi Nehoulyn

To ensure clarity, most of the information we’ve provided above could only really be determined at the later stages of the order process, once the address is plotted against the Openserve fibre infrastructure maps. This is when we’re able to establish the available infrastructure and the correct order and/or installation requirements for the premises. We’re sorry for the delay and for the confusion this has caused. We’re doing everything we can on our side to get the order moving and your service up and running as soon as possible. We really appreciate your patience while we work through the process with you.

Warm regards,

Hi Nehoulyn

While we work on the Openserve order, we've arranged for a tech support callback to further assist with the Telkom LTE service. The team will be in touch ASAP. We're committed to making sure you receive all the support you need.
