Web Africa Uncapped - Out of Bundle
To anyone reading this. Before you make the same mistake I made of signing up with Webafrica, read this first.
Like most people, we look for the most affordable and reliable ISP's and I made the decision to sign up with Web Africa's ADSL data package. A month later our ADSL cables were ****** and LTE was the only option. I joined Web Africa because their sales consultant phoned me not 10 minutes after I sent them an email asking a few questions.
Great sales pitch and I signed up with them, made payment and waited for the router. Then the **** started. After delivery I waited almost 48 hours for the sim to be reactivated. I phoned and emailed them a few hours after the router arrived. On the second day I told them to come and fetch their router if that sim was not activated in 48 hours as their website states 24 hours and their sales consultant advised that the sim would be active in less than 1 hour. The issue was fixed in less than an hour.
Then I had connection issues, tried to upgrade and got ridiculously slow speeds. I even cancelled giving one full calendar month's notice and their "amazing" staff does not actually know what a full calendar month is even after explaining it to them. During this period I upgraded to their newly introduced uncapped LTE. As I am writing this review, my Internet got disconnected stating I am out of bundle, on a ****ing uncapped package, seriously????
They take more than a week to reply to support emails and tickets. They have a genuine don't give a **** attitude towards their clients and could not care less if your Internet is for business purposes.
In all my years I have never come across an ISP that is this bad. Their customer service is horrible. I have no idea how these people are in business. Their staff is useless and not very proactive, I even got one email response stating saying that Bithiah is off sick etc. etc. I don't give a ****, if you're reading her emails, then solve my damn problem ffs. don't tell me where she is not at work.
Web Africa might be cheap but I promise you, you will regret it. R100 extra is far better than sitting without internet and not knowing when or if someone will reply. They are unprofessional, ***********, extremely slow to respond, have billing issues, their system does not seem to be working 100% (upgrades). And if you are signing up for a Telkom package with Web Africa, somewhere on their website they state that they are at the mercy of Telkom.
Read Hello Peter reviews for this company before you sign up, and if you do sign up lol, good luck, you were warned.
