Unjustified 10% Tariff Increase – No Communication or Added Value

I have been a loyal Webafrica customer, but I’m extremely disappointed by the recent 10.19% increase to my monthly fibre subscription.

My fee jumped from R512.17 (ex VAT) to R564.35 (ex VAT) — well above the inflation rate and industry norms, without any prior notice, upgrade in speed, or service improvement. For an entry-level 25/25 Mbps line, this increase is unjustifiable.

In today’s economy, every rand counts. This kind of pricing practice feels exploitative, especially when many other ISPs offer the same or better service at more affordable rates.

Webafrica’s lack of transparency, poor communication, and no clear explanation for the hike has left me frustrated and considering cancellation. I urge Webafrica to explain this price change or risk losing more customers.
