Uninterested Service Provider

My internet has been off for 6 days now, and every day I have to contact them for an update, because every day they keep saying they have escalated the matter and that someone will reach out to me for updates, yet every day, no one does. They don't care at all that you have an issue, but they are very fast when it comes to payment. I have been with them for three years, & honestly this is the most abusive relationship I've had with any service provider. I've finally decided to cancel them as I've gotten much better offers from three other ISP's, and guess what, their useless chat service has had me on hold forever, & I'm still holding. And this is another one of their shticks; no landline or email to contact them to hold them accountable, just a useless, unmanned chatline. Don't use this ISP if you value your sanity, because they definitely value their sanity as they watch clients lose their minds while they couldn't care less. Just look at their rating here; says a lot about them. I can't wait until I'm done with them.

Hello Koketso,

We understand how extremely frustrating and exhausting this must be, especially after 6 days without internet and having to repeatedly follow up daily without receiving the promised updates. It is also completely understandable that you feel let down when escalation commitments are not followed through, particularly when you rely on your connection for day-to-day use.

We have now escalated this matter to our Fault Follow-Up Team and have marked it as urgent for immediate attention. The team has been instructed to follow up on the fault and provide you with a direct update as a priority to ensure you are not left waiting without communication.

If you need any further help, please send us a direct message on Hello Peter and we will gladly look into this for you.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

Morning  Koketso.

Thank you for sharing this with us.
We understand how frustrating and exhausting this experience has been, especially with the repeated need to follow up, the lack of proactive updates, and being without service for several days. That is not the standard of support we aim to deliver, particularly for long-standing customers.

Latest update on your MTN SIM-only fault
We can confirm the following progress on your case:
  • Reference: REQ***
  •  The SIM has been refreshed in the system as part of the initial recovery steps
  •  A vendor escalation has been logged with MTN for deeper network investigation
  •  A formal follow-up request has been raised with their technical teams to push for resolution feedback
  •  Your case remains actively monitored, and SMS updates will be sent as soon as new information is received

What this means for your MTN SIM service
  •  The SIM refresh was intended to restore network registration
  •  The vendor escalation is to resolve any underlying network provisioning or connectivity fault
  •  Until MTN completes its investigation, intermittent or no service may continue

Regarding the communication and delays. We hear your frustration around needing to chase updates daily and not receiving proactive communication. This has been escalated alongside your fault so that both the technical issue and the communication breakdown are addressed together. We are also reinforcing follow-up tracking on this case to ensure updates are pushed to you as soon as they are available, rather than requiring repeated contact.

Warm regards,
