Unhappy Client!!!!

I signed up for your Vuma fibre package and was informed that I needed to make an upfront installment payment, which I did on 14 May 2026. My fibre installation was then done on 15 May 2026.

Before the installation, I received a call from the engineers who had arrived at my house while I was away. My mother was home at the time. They informed me that the connection box was far and that I would need to pay extra for cables required for installation.

They then told me they could either send a quotation to the office or “make another plan,” which involved using ****** cables and me giving them “cold drink money” in exchange. I told them I did not have money, and they asked how much I had available. I mentioned maybe R300, and they instructed me to send myself a cash send and forward it to them via WhatsApp.

My partner advised me that this sounded like a **** and warned me not to proceed. I immediately called the installers back and told them to rather send an official quotation to the office, as I would deal with the company directly. I then ended the call.

Despite this, they still proceeded with the installation and later messaged me on WhatsApp saying they were almost done. I reminded them that I had requested an official quotation and that I would liaise directly with the office, after which I blocked their numbers.

I was also told that I would receive an SMS with my password/login details, but to this day, 17 May 2026, I still have not received anything and cannot use the service I already paid for.

At this point, I honestly do not know whether your company employs *****sters or whether your staff take advantage of people living in townships, assuming they can **** them into paying extra money for services. Your contact numbers are extremely difficult to get through on, and your chat support has also been unhelpful.

I truly regret joining this company.

Hi  Zamaphemba. We are truly concerned to hear about your experience, especially the interaction you described during installation and the fact that you are still unable to access your service after activation. This is not the standard of conduct or service we expect, and it is being treated with the seriousness it deserves. We have already escalated your activation case to the teams that handle all Vuma Reach fibre activations. They will follow up directly with our Vumatel partners to verify your line status and ensure your service credentials are issued without further delay. You will receive an email update as soon as there is confirmed feedback on the activation and login details. In addition, the behaviour you described during installation has been flagged for immediate internal review with the relevant field operations partners. We appreciate you bringing this forward, as it allows us to investigate properly and take appropriate action where needed.Right now, our priority is to ensure your connection is fully active and that you receive the information required to use your service. We are actively working on this and will keep you updated as a matter of urgency.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

It’s now the 20th of May and no one has contacted me instead I’ve been hounding you on your WhatsApp channel. Engineers were sent out yesterday and changed the box and it’s now the following day I haven’t received my WiFi password and my services aren’t active. So much hassle after taking my money. The service is absolutely pathetic and terrible!!!!

Hi Zamaphemba,  We hear your frustration regarding the repeated installation failures and the lack of clear updates on your service. As per your request, we will log the cancellation and refund request with the VumaReach team for urgent attention and processing. They will review the installation history, confirm the outcome on their side, and proceed with the necessary next steps to close the order and assess the refund. We understand the inconvenience this situation has caused and appreciate you taking the time to raise it. Warm regards,
