Unfair Cancellation fees

The subscription that I cancelled, with due notice, had been in place for more than two years. I was therefore very surprised and disappointed when, a month later - a delayed response - I was charged a cancellation fee of R999.00.

I note that in accordance to your terms and conditions, cancellation fees may apply to certain fibre network operators (FNO). However, since Vumatel is the only FNO explicitly named as an example, and no other FNO is identified in your terms, the application of the R999.00 fee to my non-Vumatel service is not explicitly supported by your published terms. I find it unfair to charge a fee of this nature after such a long term relationship, and it feels as though I am being penalized for simply cancelling my subscription.
