Unacceptable Billing Practices and Poor Customer Service at WebAfrica
Unacceptable Billing Practices and Poor Customer Service at WebAfrica
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with WebAfrica’s billing practices and customer service. Over the past month, I have been billed three times for services that should have been resolved after the first payment. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue, the response from your team has been nothing short of dismissive, unprofessional, and utterly inadequate.
The Issue at Hand
Triple Billing in a Single Month: I have been charged three times in one month for the same service. This is not only financially burdensome but also raises serious concerns about WebAfrica’s billing systems and internal controls. How can a company repeatedly bill a customer for the same service without any oversight or accountability? Lack of Resolution: Despite raising this issue multiple times, the only response I have received is, “We have sent the request to finance.” This is not a resolution. It is a deflection of responsibility. Sending a request to finance is not the same as resolving the issue. Where is the urgency? Where is the accountability? Poor Communication: The communication from your team, particularly Gerald Marais, has been vague and unhelpful. Promises of updates and feedback have been made, but no tangible action has been taken. For example, on February 17, 2025, I was told, “I have sent your request to the billing team, will update you once I have proper feedback.” It has been over a week, and I have yet to receive any meaningful update. Inability to Access Support Tickets: To add insult to injury, I cannot even access the support ticket (#***) created to address this issue. The link provided is either broken or inaccessible, further highlighting the incompetence and lack of attention to detail within your support team. Unacceptable Customer Experience
This entire ordeal has been a textbook example of how not to treat customers. The lack of urgency, transparency, and accountability is staggering. As a paying customer, I expect my concerns to be addressed promptly and professionally. Instead, I have been met with empty promises, delays, and a complete disregard for my time and money.
Demands for Immediate Action
Refund the Overcharged Amounts: I demand an immediate refund for the additional charges incurred due to WebAfrica’s billing errors. Provide a Detailed Explanation: I require a clear and detailed explanation of how this billing error occurred and what steps WebAfrica is taking to ensure it does not happen again. Compensation for the Inconvenience: The time and frustration I have endured due to this issue warrant compensation. Whether in the form of a discount on future services or a goodwill gesture, WebAfrica must acknowledge the inconvenience caused. Improve Customer Service: WebAfrica must urgently review and improve its customer service processes. Customers should not have to chase updates or deal with broken support ticket systems. Final Warning
If this matter is not resolved promptly and satisfactorily, I will have no choice but to escalate it further. This includes filing a formal complaint with relevant consumer protection authorities, sharing my experience on platforms like Hellopeter, and warning others about the poor service and billing practices at WebAfrica.
WebAfrica has a responsibility to its customers. It is time to take that responsibility seriously.
Sincerely, Ebrahim Nassiep Frustrated and Overcharged Customer
