Trying to move the router address, but NO ASSISTANCE!!

We have been battling for the past two weeks to get a move request done. Firstly they were pushing for us to take a new router and upgrade to packages we didn't want, then we did it online through the website. Now we are trying to do it through the online chat option, and have been waiting since after 10am for help. We've been told the request was never logged and can't be picked up on their side, and got transferred to another agent. Been waiting another hour for a response from this agent, and still NO ASSISTANCE!! Agents were Elethu (which said the request was isn't on their system) and now Palesa that just asked how she can help, and that was over an hour ago with no other responses. This is utterly ridiculous!!!!

Hi Talya,
We understand how frustrating it must be to spend weeks trying to get a move request completed, especially after being pushed toward options you didn’t want, then encountering delays, missing requests, and long periods without any response across multiple agents. Being transferred between consultants without progress is understandably upsetting.
We acknowledge the issues you’ve raised regarding the move request not reflecting on our system, the lack of follow‑up after being transferred, and the extended waiting times you’ve experienced via online chat. This feedback, including the interactions with Elethu and Palesa, will be shared with our Service Quality Team so the handling of this matter can be reviewed and improvements made to prevent similar experiences.
To allow us to take a closer look and assist more effectively, please send us a direct message on Hello Peter with the email address or cellphone number linked to your Webafrica account. This will enable us to locate the account, verify the move request, and ensure the correct team follows up accordingly.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and giving us the opportunity to address it properly.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

They did not, he last agent Palesa greeted me and nothing thereafter. Does it even show the address on the system that was changed? Because no one asked me for an address, and like I said, Palesa was the last agent to talk to me, and she only greeted but nothing thereafter. So not sure how I was helped??

It's now been 24hrs since i started to try and resolve our WiFi issues. An Agent phoned and asked for coordinates (which wa given in the above chat), then an email was sent to us requesting the coordinates which we sent, and now dead silence once again.

Please can you explain to me how your system works with resolving issues with your clients? I am trying to understand how an issue is raised and then not followed through with your staff? In my experience working with technical issues, you start with a query, try resolve it to the best of your ability and then follow-ups happen to ensure the issues are properly resolved.
There seems to be no urgency when it comes to clients on your behalf, as long as you receive your money, you are happy. It's funny how our account immediately started being debited as soon as I started complaining. Yet no solution has been found and we are still without WiFi. We have never had any issues with paying for your services, and in all the years we've been with you, wr never skipped a payment.

Should we rather just cancel and cut our losses? There are alot of service providers in the area with mich better packages on offer, so finding someone won't be difficult.

Hi Talya, we understand the frustration here, especially after already providing the requested coordinates and still not seeing visible progress on the WiFi issue. Being left without clear updates after taking the time to respond can understandably feel like things are not moving forward.
At this stage, the sales team is still awaiting proof of address in order to proceed with the next step of the process. Without this, they are unable to continue with the required provisioning and resolution flow on their side.
Could you please confirm whether the proof of address has already been sent through? If it has, we’ll ensure it is followed up immediately. If not, sharing it as soon as possible will allow the team to move this forward without further delay.
Once received and verified, the team will be able to proceed and provide the necessary updates on the next steps.
Warm regards,

Hi Talya, thanks for sharing the email trail and the coordinates provided.
To continue with the process and ensure everything can be properly verified and progressed, could you please also send proof of address to the same email thread? This will help the sales team confirm the service details and move things forward without delays.
Once received, the team will be able to proceed with the next steps and keep you updated accordingly.

Here is my frustration... And please read this to understand and not to just reply...

This is not what was asked on that email, we were asked for coordinates, or a screenshot. Why does these "requests" differ from one staff member to the next? If the proof of address was as important for this to continue, why was this not specified on the email.
Here is an email received this morning:

NO MENTION of a proof of address or that the coordinates are not sufficient. And dead silence after this email.

Please understand the frustrations we are experiencing. This is a new address we have moved to.

Hi Talya,  we understand your frustration, especially with the mixed communication and changing requests from different team members. That inconsistency can make the process feel unclear and delayed, particularly when you’ve already provided what was originally asked for.
At this stage, we’ve followed up with the Sales team and requested them to provide a clear update on your query, including confirming exactly what is required so there is no further confusion or back-and-forth.
Once they respond, you’ll have a clearer direction on the next steps without conflicting information.
Warm regards,

Our lease agreement was emailed just before 3pm.

Lets hope this doesn't take another few weeks to sort out. We honestly can not be expected to pay for a full month of service when we have been battling like this for days! Are these days of non service going to be deducted when we eventually have service again?

Here we are two days later... We were promised a new sim card (tower issues), and yet again no answers. We were told it would ve here within two days and no response, yet again dead silence. We emailed Lameez, and he says we must go through the WhatsApp number. And like I've said in my earlier messages, the WhatsApp you guys have has a glitch, and we are unable to get any assistance. I do not have data to wait for the online chat to respond, because they can take anything from an hour to 3 hours to respond. This is getting ridiculous now!! We've spent more on data than we actually pay monthly to you guys for our WiFi!!!!

If this does not get sorted out TODAY, i will be reporting you guys to ICASA. This is honestly the worst customer service I have experienced in years!!

Please sort this out ASAP. I am tired of having to result to Karen behavior just to get a response from you people.

This is costing me more money than you know!!

Hi Talya, we understand your frustration, especially with the delay in receiving the replacement SIM and the ongoing connectivity issues affecting your ability to stay online and get support.
The matter has been escalated and the Telkom team is currently working on resolving the SIM/tower issue and fulfilment of the replacement SIM request. We’ve also flagged the communication challenges you’ve experienced, including the WhatsApp access issue and delayed responses, so this is taken into account during the resolution process.
At this stage, we are actively following up with the Telkom team for a confirmed update on the dispatch status of the replacement SIM, the expected delivery timeframe, and any possible interim connectivity options where available.
As soon as we receive feedback from them, you will be updated immediately with clear next steps.
Warm regards,

We are now told that we have to pay for two services!?!?!? Because the of the new sim, this is seen as an additional service and not a change of address.
Please make this make sense!?!?! We didn't ask for an additional service, we asked for change of address. We were told we need to change the sim cards, and now we need to pay double!?!?!?

Hi Talya,
We hear how frustrating this has been, especially being almost two weeks without WiFi and still not having a clear resolution or way forward. That level of delay is understandably unacceptable and we understand the urgency in getting this resolved.

 Hi Talya,
We hear how frustrating and exhausting this has been for you, especially after a month of trying to get the change of address resolved and still not having a clear activation or reliable updates. As soon as we receive a response, we will come back to you with clear next steps.

Our router is MTN, no need for calls from Telkom.

I will just Google the address, because once again you can not read to understand, you just send the first Ai generated response you system shows.
