They will not let you leave and will sabotage your migration to another ISP
I am only giving them 1 star because there is no option for 0 stars or less on hellopeter.
I have been trying to get them to release my lines on vumatel so that my new ISP who has actual people you can talk to can migrate my lines.
I have been transferred all day from pillar to post on their whatsapp support from provisioning to billing to cancellations back to billing back to provisioning back to cancellations. I am now busy with my 6th agent who is inevitably going to tell me that they are transferring me.
If you are ever considering webafrica just don't do not put yourself through this mess of an ISP. Their support is the absolute worst. I have been a client since 2010 and just can not do it anymore with them.
There are so many great providers out there that will actually provide you support when you need it.
All I need webafrica to do is mark my lines on Vumatel's portal as cancelling so that I can transfer them but it seems like they do not want you to go and will sabotage your migration attempts.
If any of what I have said here appeals to you then by all means they are the company for you.
The request has been directed to the team responsible for line releases to assist with an immediate update on the Vumatel portal to mark the lines as cancelling, allowing your migration to proceed. This has been escalated accordingly, and you will be notified by them as soon as the line release is confirmed.
If you require any further assistance, please feel free to send us a private message on Hello Peter with a brief summary, and we will continue assisting.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

Thank you for raising this concern and for giving us the opportunity to clarify. We understand why it would seem unclear how escalation could take place without confirming the relevant details first.
We were able to locate your account using the information already provided on Hello Peter and reviewed the chat notes from your earlier interactions today. These confirmed that you are requesting the release of your three Vumatel lines, which are currently scheduled for cancellation, and this is what has been escalated to the team responsible for line releases.
The request is being handled accordingly, and you will be notified as soon as the line status has been updated on the Vumatel portal.
If there is anything further you would like us to check or if additional assistance is needed, please feel free to reach out to us again via Hello Peter with any extra details, and we will gladly assist.

the new ISP has at least informed me that we are making progress. Webafrica has since loaded my cancellation on Vumatel's Portal however, my original statement of them making it as difficult as possible still holds true.
Instead of load my cancellation for the end of the month Webafrica have loaded it for the 19th June so this means that my internet with WA will end at the end of the month but I will not be able to transfer my line until the 19th June.
Again Webafrica you have showed that you are going to make it as difficult as possible for people to move away from you.
Please explain why you have not marked my line for cancellation, with Vumatel, for the date that you are cancelling my internet!

We understand how frustrating this situation has been, particularly where the cancellation date loaded on the Vumatel portal does not align with the end date of your service and has impacted your ability to migrate smoothly. This is not the experience we want our clients to have, and line releases should never become a barrier during a move to another provider.
A request was logged for your lines to be released immediately. We have urgently requested the team handling line releases to follow up. The team has been asked to prioritise this and provide an update as soon as possible so that the release is done sooner not delaying your migration further.
We remain committed to seeing this through and ensuring the process is handled as smoothly as possible.
