THE PROVISIONING TEAM IS USELESS!

I received my SIM card last week Thursday, nor RICA'D. My status was on provisioning, On Saturday I took it upon myself to RICA the SIM card as there was NO SERVICE, and that was successful. Yesterday (Monday) I contacted the team to help me get connected, and they assured me that I will be connected within 48hrs, this morning I woke up to messages from the courier confirming my delivery (which was last week Thursday), something that was long overdue! I went online and found that I am still on "provisioning", remembering that one of the agents told me that the provisioning team ONLY DOES RICA and NOR ACTIVATION, I contacted WebAfrica again and spoke to Kutlwano, I told them situation and they said they escalated the issue as my SIM is still pending "E RICA", I asked if he can activate my service since I already completed RICA and "by common sense" YOU CAN ONLY RICA A SIM CARD ONCE! Kutlwano transferred me to a "relevant team" which I did not know about, I waited over 3hrs and had to END CHAT. I went on WhatsApp, and I am still holding since! I just need to get the package activated as they failed to RICA the SIM card before even delivering it to me! I have lost hope! I am working from home and yesterday I couldn't work, today again is the same issue! All because of the pending E RICA which is no longer needed! Pathetic!!!!

Hi Nqobile, we understand your frustration, especially as this delay is now impacting your ability to work from home. That kind of interruption is not ideal, particularly after you’ve already completed the RICA process. An escalation has now been submitted to the Activations team to urgently review your SIM status and provisioning, and to verify the current “RICA pending” flag so it can be corrected and the service activated. The team is currently reviewing the case, and we are following up to ensure it is prioritised given the repeated delays and the impact on your service. We will update you as soon as there is feedback or movement on activation. Warm regards,
 Webafrica Crew

You are the 3rd person to "escalate" but nothing happens after🙄.I have honestly lost hope! My job is being compromised for a simple thing, "activation".

Hi Nqobile,We hear your frustration, especially as this is now affecting your work. That’s not the experience we want for you. We’ve noted your concern that previous escalations haven’t led to resolution. We’ve now followed up again with the Activations team and requested urgent attention on your SIM provisioning and activation, specifically to resolve the pending status holding up your service. The team is currently reviewing it and we’re pushing for it to be prioritised given the impact on you. We will share feedback as soon as we receive an update from them.Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
