Terrible service, ping pong between Telkom
Signed up with WA to install my phone line, ADSL and data.
After waiting a couple of weeks, a technician finally came and installed the phone line and a jack by my PC.
I reverted back to WA with my new landline number and they added it to my profile, immediately after they tell me there's only 1% ports available in my area. What **** is this?
Now I'm R500 down for the jack and leading up towards paying line rental on a line I can't use.
Could no one tell me before I signed up with anyone there's no ports after wasting so much time and money?
I even phoned again and asked what my options were at this point, to which the option provided was that I cancel my order with WA. How does cancelling my order get me any closer to internet at my home. Went to Telkom and they sing the same song (who will also be getting a complaint from me btw). If you have the monopoly, then you better damn be able to provide.
Pathetic, absolutely pathetic.
Sky high prices coupled with ******* services.
\Sorry there's nothing we can do
Before we order an ADSL line for our customers we always for a landline number, so we can check the ADSL line availability. However, in your case you didn't have a landline number, therefore we couldn't check beforehand - instead - we ordered a landline on your behalf so we can then order your ADSL line.
We're no sure how you got the information that there are no ports in your area because Telkom has assigned a port for you and your ADSL line is active, but we do see that your router is not connected at the moment. Furthermore, your account details have been emailed to you, please let us know if you need assistance with setting up your router, or contact us on ***, or drop us an email: ***
We hope that this matter has been resolved to the level of your satisfaction and we would like to encourage you to update this post to reflect this resolution offered.
