Technical support - adsl problem since 29 October 2017
On 29 October 2017 I logged a ticket with Webafrica .... ticket ********** ...... Zuber Khan contacted us via e-mail advising us on what to do ..... which we did but to no avail ..... problem persisted.
Gave continous feedback to Zuber Khan regarding line speed .... no feedback.
On 30 October 2017 Tuesday we telephoned Webafrica again ..... spoke to Warren this time ..... Warren stated that the problem was definitely on Telkom's side and he would log a call ...... The duration of the call was 13 min 40 sec ..... most of the call waa spent waiting for a technician to be allocated to my telephone call.
31 Oct 2017 we contacted Webafrica again ....... seeing that we had not received any feedback. Once again we spent 3/4 of the call waiting for somebody from the technical support to assist us ...... when they eventually answered their phone the connection was so bad we had to disconnect the calll. A female technician called back immediately, but once again the call quality was so bad, we had to disconnect the call.
On 2 November 2017 we, after not having any feedback from Webafrica since speaking to Warren on 30 October 2017, contacted Webafrica again.
Of the 20 minute phone call about 2 minutes was spent actually talking to Warren of technical support ..... the rest was spent listening to their phone music and waiting for technical support to assist me.
Once I was put into contact with Warren he apologised and informed me that he had logged the call with Telkom but did not follow up from his side and he assumes that we still have the same problem. Needless to say I lost my cool and informed Warren tHat he had until 14h34 to sort out this issue because the service was really pathetic.
Shortly after hanging up Warren phoned back to tell me that due to other obligations Telkom had not been able to send out a technician. However, Telkom had also requested that Webafrica check on their side to ensure the issue is in fact a Telkom issue and not a Webafrica issue. Warren informed me that Webafrica would therefore send out somebody from their side but was unable to give me a specific date.
So nearly a week later, with continual follow ups by us, the client, and nothing from Webafrica, we are still no closer to finding a solution to the problem
