Stay away worst service ever

Worst experience where I scanned my internet and there was not internet available started contacting them on Saturday morning 8:53 and by 18:00 same day fault not addressed told they are experiencing billing problems, there is no human interaction whatsoever you are told to hold for an unresponsive Ai robot and even when you finally get someone they tell you they are referring to the technician and the following morning which is Sunday the same thing happens only to be told your fault is as the result of a fault in your area and that has cost me my job because instead of me ensuring I go physically to work I was told the issue will be resolved and I explicitly asked if it will be resolved on Monday and I was guaranteed no the technician will resolve it now it’s been prioritized and today it’s Sunday afternoon and I’m told it’s part of a bigger problem in my area and referred back to the robot the worst service you can ever encounter it’s not the fault that makes their service is the fact that they are inhumane and you can never reach them even to cancel , my only option would be to stop the debit order with my bank once and for all cause they continue to want to collect money whilst they do not provide the service you are paying for , stay away from them especially if you are working from home. I would never would have thought my internet provider would be the reason I get fired !!!they keep saying it’s an area problem when on the local community group no one is experiencing this except me from webafrica!!!

Hello  Tandi,

We understand how incredibly frustrating and disruptive it must be to experience a complete loss of internet, especially when it has affected your ability to work. We acknowledge the stress and inconvenience this situation has caused, and we can appreciate how disappointing it is when connectivity issues prevent you from carrying out your daily responsibilities.

We see that you have already been in contact with one of our support agents. The outage you are experiencing is due to a network issue on OpenServe’s side, which appears to be caused by infrastructure damage. OpenServe technicians are actively working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, and your connection will be restored once the repair is completed.

We understand the impact this has had on you and truly appreciate your patience while the situation is being addressed. Should you require any further updates, you are welcome to reach out via Hello Peter with your email address, cellphone number linked to your Webafrica account, or your account number, so we can provide more detailed information.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

That was the response when I’m spending around R79 a day for the internet for this fault :*Celine M.*: Termination Fee, Please note that should you decide to cancel your service with us, you will be liable for a R999 Termination Fee.. You also agree that you have chosen to cancel your service and that you agree to return the router within 20 days after your service have canceled, and if you fail to do so you will be charged R999 for it. You also agree to pay the Termination Fee of R999. You also accept that your line will not be released (in the case of moving to another ISP), until your Webafrica bill is fully paid up.

What service did I get if I’m being charged for a service that I don’t have and continue to have no access to and I’m required to pay for it and you will continue to debit my account regardless of your failure to provide service??? And I’m spending R79 a day for my family to be able to put bread on the table regardless that I’ve paid you and you will continue to keep me locked in your network that has failed to provide the service. To make things worse you say I requested to exit when you do not have the service

"I'm concerned about the handling of my cancellation request. Given the service outage and lack of resolution, I expect a more flexible approach. The 30-day hold seems punitive when I'm not receiving the service as paid for. Can someone review this case and provide:
- Clear explanation for the hold
- Options for expedited cancellation
- Consideration for compensation or refund for the outage

Please don't close the escalation without addressing these points."

Today it’s the 24th March, the 4th day with no results, with Webafrica refusing to release my line saying it’s open serve that’s keeping me locked in the same open serve that has been having a fault for the last 4 days now with my family and kids working from home and having online studies today we had to buy data whilst paying Webafrica. They say it’s not their fault but it’s openserve . All I’m asking is if you can’t provide the service release me or provide me with alternative internet whilst there’s a fault . Is that too much to ask.

Dear Webafrica Support Team,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my fibre internet service, which has been non-functional for the past four (4) days.
Despite reporting the issue, I have been informed that the fault lies with Openserve. However, my contract is with your company, and I hold you responsible for ensuring the provision of the service I am paying for.
The prolonged outage has significantly affected my ability to work and submit my online studies, causing serious inconvenience and disruption. To date, I have not been provided with a clear resolution timeframe or any interim solution.
In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, I am entitled to services that are reliable and delivered in a timely manner. Your failure to restore my service within a reasonable period constitutes a material breach of contract.
Accordingly, I hereby demand the following:
  1. Immediate restoration of my internet service within 48 hours of this notice; OR
  2. Cancellation of my service with immediate effect, without any notice period or early termination penalty.
Should this matter not be resolved within the stipulated 48 hours, I will have no option but to escalate the complaint to the ICASA and the National Consumer Commission.
I trust this matter will be treated with urgency and resolved promptly.
Kind regards,
NOLUTHANDO Beauty Manzini

*Babalwa M.*: What it means is that I now successfully logged a fault specifically for your line with Openserve,

*Babalwa M.*: This allows them to investigate and fix the problem directly on your line, rather than it just being part of a general outage.
