service provider

This payment system is absolute nonsense I’m really disappointed with Webafrica right now. Their billing and payment method system is honestly one of the most frustrating setups I’ve ever dealt with. There is no clear way to remove a secondary card, no option to delete it, and the app and browser Customer Zone both hide the most essential controls behind confusing menus. Even worse, when you go into “Payment Details,” you’re only shown debit order information — no card settings, no delete button, no management tools at all. Then you have to dig into a completely different area called “Payment Methods,” and even there, Webafrica still refuses to let you remove a card properly. The only way to “remove” a payment method is to add a new one and push the old card into inactive status. That’s not user‑friendly — that’s a workaround Webafrica forces on people because they don’t want to give customers full control over their own payment methods. The system is confusing, poorly designed, and full of unnecessary hoops. Something as simple as removing a card should not require detective work. This is unacceptable for an ISP in 2026. Webafrica needs to fix this, because right now, the experience feels like absolute nonsense.

Webafrica charges a R999 cancellation fee for any fibre cancellation, even if you've been a customer for years. This is stated directly in their Knowledgebase: cancelling your fibre service means you are always charged the standard R999 termination fee, no matter how long your line has been active. Then they add clawback fees on top of that — fees meant to “recover” the cost of so‑called free installations, routers, or promotions. These clawback fees are hidden behind vague terms like “may apply,” and customers regularly report being charged a R999 clawback even when they simply upgrade or make account changes.

Companies like this does not deserve to get business from the people its like a lockdown with them ridiculous.
