Webafrica

After having a package of R39 pm for a few years, suddenly I received three warning letters regarding "resources" used. I contacted the Tech Dept and was told not to click on "Upgrade" and they would sort it out from their side. That went fine and all was quiet. I then received a second batch of Warning letters and thinking that I must not click on Upgrade, as previously instructed, I left it. I contacted Webafrica and they told me that there was a problem with "resources usage" and they assisted by going onto my website and told me to delete some plug-ins which were causing the problem. This was done by my husban who is Webmaster but not completely au fait with how Word Press works - 9 in total. To my horror, from R39 I suddenly had over R500 deducted from my account with no warning. I called again and was told I would now be put back onto R39 pm. Then another R260 was deducted from my account with absolutely no warning, as per the previous deduction. I received another warning email (now the third set) and decided to cancel my account as I am now in no control of what Webafrica will be taking off my account at any stage without warning. I am so disappointed after all this time and have changed website hosts. I will be asking for a refund of the funds that were deducted without any warning whatsoever.

Reviewer Update

Update: I requested a refund for the unexpected (large) amount suddenly deducted from my account with no warning but have heard absolutely nothing. All I received was a backup in order to move to Afrihost. I am asking for R520,00 as I was misled into thinking that I did not need to do anything about "warning emails" and that it would be "sorted out on Webafrica's side".
