Release issue
I was a customer for webafrica for a few months and decided to leave them since my internet was very slow yet I had signed up for a 250 download and upload speed. At the beginning of May I asked to cancel my relationship with them and they said it takes a month for me to be cancelled and released. On the 1st of June I was cancelled but not released from Metro fibre. It has been a week without internet because they are failing to release me,I want to join another ISP but they are making very impossible for me.I have been speaking with different agents and they tell me to wait 24-48 hours to be released but a week has passed and it's the second week now. This is really frustrating because it's hard for me to even work,my life is stuck because Webafrica doesn't want to release me from Metro fibre This is a very bad experience and it's really disappointing.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how frustrating it must be to go through the cancellation process and then get delayed with your line release, especially when it’s preventing you from moving over to another provider. Waiting without progress in a situation like this can be very disruptive.
We can confirm that the team handling line releases followed up with Metrofibre today, and they have confirmed that your line has now been successfully released. Your new ISP should now be able to proceed with taking over the line without further delay.
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out via Hello Peter, and we’ll gladly continue assisting.
Warm regards,
