Where to begin writing about Webafrica? I placed a fibre order with them on 4 March, and only received the router by 23 June. Installation was delayed by problems regarding the line in my street, and several other service providers - SADV, etc. - were involved, but the communication (and sometimes lack thereof) regarding the installation timeline from Webafrica was extremely disappointing. I was told, for example, that I would definitely have fibre by the end of April, and could cancel my Telkom wifi, only to be left without internet for another two months. My joy about finally being connected again was short-lived, however. At first, I wanted 50 mbps, but I changed my order a few weeks before installation to 10 mbps. On Webadrica's website, a 10 mbps fibre line is advertised for R 649 p.m., yet I am being charged R 1029. Another R 567.73 (VAT excl.) was deducted from my account for the 6 days I had access in June. Hardly ten days of fibre connection, and over R 1800 was already deducted from my account! Sent an email querying this two days ago, and have yet to receive an answer. I signed up with Webafrica since a friend recommended them for great customer service - ironic, really. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever encountered with a service provider.
