Poor service from Webafrica (and Openserve)

I logged a fault on Saturday 21 March at 10:00 for my Fibre line that went down. The chat conversation was only completed at 13:00 due to the extreme slow response by Webafrica. The gave me ref 386630 and a SLA of 24-72 working hours and promised regular feedback from the line provider (Openserve). However, there was zero feedback from Webafrica. Openserve came here but had to come back to “replace the pole”. They obviously didn’t come. I again contacted Webafrica and the agent said she will find out from Openserve - again zero feedback to me. Yesterday Openserve called me again and was very certain the people are here to replace the pole, which obviously wasn’t the case. In meantime I’m sitting for a week without internet, have to use mobile data (very expensive) and I’m paying for a full month to Webafrica and don’t have service for a week. I have an agreement with Webafrica and not Openserve. I expect Webafrica to resolve this and take ownership and chase Openserve to resolve this. I also expect a prorated credit on my bill.

Hi Danie, we can see how frustrating this has been, being without internet for this long, needing to rely on mobile data, and not getting consistent feedback along the way is a lot to deal with. Your fault (***) is still open with our faults team, and they are continuing to work with Openserve on the pole replacement needed to restore your service. This type of repair requires coordination on their side, and we’re actively following up to get clear progress and feedback.

We also hear your concern around the lack of updates, and we’re following up with the provider to ensure we can share meaningful feedback with you as soon as it becomes available. We’re keeping a close watch on this with the team and will continue tracking it through until it’s resolved.
Warm regards,
Webaafrica Crew
