PLEASE HELP ME

Dear Webafrica,

I am writing a bad review here because I don't know what else to do. I moved house at the end of May. On the 24th of April I contacted Webafrica to let them know that I wished to move to Fibre when I moved house. A ticket was opened and a consultant spoke to me to let me know that the fibre order was to be placed. Since then a few horrifying things have happened. None of these things are my fault but they have serious implications for me. You, of course, make nothing but money from my situation. Summarised below:

1) Openserve contacted me on the 30th of May to confirm my installation appointment on the following day. They had unfortunately taken the wrong address for my new house so they cancelled the installation appointment and said that they'd need to reschedule. They indicated it would delay installation by a few days. It's now been 6 days and I am yet to hear from them.

2) At the beginning of May, I submitted a cancellation order to Telkom to cancel my line at my old address. As of this morning, I had not yet received a response or any contact from Telkom whatsoever, so I called them to ask for some help. They informed me that I couldn't cancel my line until my ADSL service with Webafrica had been cancelled as well. I was confused because at no time during my chat to webafrica at the end of April had this come up.

3) I then called Webafrica and discovered that not only was Telkom correct, but that I needed to give one calendar month's notice in order to cancel my Webafrica ADSL service! This was NEVER mentioned to me. NEVER. If it had been mentioned, I would have cancelled my ADSL on the spot and this all would have been fine.

So now, after all that, I have no fibre in my new house, I have a Telkom line and an ADSL package at my old address that I am going to have to pay for until the end of July! I can't use it myself but for lack of a better option I left my router there so my neighbour can at least get some of the useless internet I'm paying for. That means, based on the packages that I've chosen for my fibre and my ADSL, as well as the Telkom line that cannot be cancelled until my Webafrica ADSL is cancelled, that I am going to be paying about R1400 a month from the moment my fibre arrives until the end of July.

I can't pay for issues that I am not responsbible for. You need to sort this out. You need to exempt me from this calendar month notice period. I have the name of the consultant that "helped" me when I ordered my fibre. I have ticket numbers. I hope to hell that you record calls because I think you should listen to that call I had on the 24th of April.

Incidently, I work from home a lot. This whole issue means that I can no longer work from home. I no longer live at the address my ADSL is delivered to and who knows where my fibre is. I now have to drive an hour into the office every day as I can't work from home and I have to use expensive 3G at my new home. So this is costing me A WHOLE LOT. Basically, I'm *****ed. Thanks a bunch.
