Pathetic Customer Service With Webafrica
So, I've been struggling since 5th July with Webafrica. It seems that every end of the month they have network outages. This is very frustrating of course, but my real issue with them is the lack of service and urgency on the WhatsApp line.
No one ever gets back to you. At least not in a reasonable time. I've started many chats with them, waiting anywhere from a few hours to two days for one of their agents to respond.
When they eventually do get back to you, and you don't respond in a reasonable time, they end the chat and just give you a reference number. No one ever follows up with a phone call. On the 14th of August at 14:26, I started a chat to inquire about my account invoice and whether the updated payment method is reflecting on their side. I got a response on the 15th of August at 11:12 from an agent named Kyle. I could not respond because I was in the middle of an interview and at 11:49 the chat was ended ***. There was no follow up call from any agent to find out whether my queries was resolved.
On the 23rd August at 15:49 I attempted to make contact with them again. At 18:20 an agent by the name of Darren got back to me. I confirmed my monthly instalment amount and that the new banking details were reflected so that my service doesn't get suspended. Darren confirmed that all the information was accurate and correct.
On the 24th of August, I left a google review for the pathetically slow service. I was ensured by the responder that this would be investigated.
Yesterday on the 2nd of September my service was suspended and I've been receiving SMSs to say payment has failed, please ensure there are sufficient funds available. I know for a fact that I did my part making sure that everything was in place so that something like this doesn't happen because I knew my university term would be starting.
I began a chat yesterday at 10:32. There was finally a response from an agent named Dumisa at 13:37. I explained my situation about the updated details, and that I'm receiving notifications that payment has failed. The agent responded again around 13:43. Unfortunately for me, I got busy and the chat was ended at 14:15 ***. I initiated a chat again at 14:35 and got no response. I initiated another chat at 14:42. I got a response from an agent named Khaya at 15:46. I explained my situation again and quoted reference numbers and at 16:41 I got a message saying I would be transferred to another agent. At 17:10 when I was still not helped I tried to initiate the chat again and got willie-the-bot. After I had commented that the service was ******* at 17:11, I terminated the chat at 17:17 *** and initiated a new chat again hoping that maybe a different agent would respond. After beginning the final chat at 17:17 on September 2nd, I finally got a response today at 09:07 from an agent named Rafael on Septener 3rd.
Yes, I am currently trying to get through to work Webafrica and as I'm waiting to be assisted I am writing this review. Once again I have explained my issue to Rafael his response was it could be a technical error and he transferred me to another agent.
It is abundantly clear to me that Webafrica does not care about how they conduct their business. If I could rate them lower than one star I would. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THEM. This is kind of sad because when I initially signed up with them, they were helpful. If this issue is not resolved within this week, I will definitely terminate the contract permanently. It is not worth my time or my money.
