Over 2 Weeks Without Internet — Endless Escalations, No Accountability, No Resolution

As Mymoena’s husband, I have personally witnessed how stressful, exhausting, and frustrating this entire situation with Webafrica and Afrihost has become.

For over 2 weeks now, we have been left without a working internet connection while still being charged for a service that has not been provided. During this time, my wife has spent countless hours on calls, sitting in queues, following instructions, making payments, and repeatedly explaining the same issue to different agents — only to receive the same scripted responses over and over again.

Every response says the matter is “escalated,” “high priority,” or “being worked on urgently,” but in reality nothing changes. No proper updates are given, no timelines are provided, and nobody actually contacts us unless another public complaint is posted.

What frustrates me most is seeing the emotional toll this has taken on my wife. This situation has gone far beyond a simple internet issue. It has become a daily battle of chasing support teams, waiting for promised callbacks that never happen, and constantly hearing reassurances without any real action behind them.

At this stage, it honestly feels like these companies are more concerned about responding publicly on HelloPeter than actually resolving customer issues behind the scenes. The communication looks good publicly, but the customer is still left sitting without service.

No customer should have to fight this hard just to receive something they are paying for every month.

We have completely lost confidence in both Webafrica and Afrihost. If this cannot be resolved immediately, then the least that should happen is a full cancellation and refund for the service fees already charged while no internet was provided.

Hi Ameer, we understand how deeply frustrating and draining this situation has been for both of you, especially with the extended downtime, repeated follow-ups, and the feeling that progress has not matched the urgency of the matter. Being without a stable connection for this long while still being billed is understandably unacceptable. This case remains actively open and escalated, and it is still being worked on with the relevant upstream teams involved in resolving the line release. The escalation is not closed or paused, and we are continuing to follow up to push for resolution as quickly as possible. The request has been re-flagged for urgent attention to ensure it receives the necessary priority from all parties involved. Once there is movement or feedback from the network side, you will be updated so there is full visibility on progress. Warm regards,
 Webafrica Crew
