******** Organization.

Absolute ******** organization.

I was a long term customer with Webafrica. I had a fiber contract with them for approximately two years.

I sold the property that I was staying in with the Webafrica line so I contacted their what's app customer service on the 18th of January to close my contract. I told the representative Aqeelah L the reasons for closing my line. She said she was going to transfer me to the cancelation team. I never got contacted by anyone. I assumed that because my request was clear and concise without any room for interpretation that they had no need to contact me further and that they had processed my request. Based on the date of my cancelation request my line should of been closed at the end of February.

They then tried to to bill me in April. After contacting them again on their customer service what's app Keenan L tried to blame me for the fact that THEY didn't contact me to confirm the cancelation. They had a failure in their company policy to contact me and follow up about the cancelation but somehow it's my fault? I told them in no uncertain terms to get stuffed. Keenan L then said and I quote "the cancellation has been processed". Keenan L also told me that I would have to pay a 999 cancellation fee. For what? You have to JUSTIFY charging a customer any amount of money. There is nothing to justify a 999 cancellation fee. They took over an EXISTING line which means there was no scope of installation to make up or earn back. Secondly I was a long term customer for over two years so it's not like I cancelled a contract mid term for example 12 months into a 24 month agreement. So again nothing to JUSTIFY a 999 charge.

Then they want to charge me 999 for a router. Firstly! I didn't want the router. When I first signed up for the contract I stated that I already had a router and did not require a router. Secondly. A free router is free. Not free but when you cancel the contract we charge you later for it. Free means free. Not get now pay later. Get now pay later is a completely different concept to free. Free means 0 payment ever. Anyway regardless of that I told the customer service agent that they can collect the router at ANYTIME from my place of residence. I told them I would not be paying with my money to get the router to them as they had 1. Sent me something I didn't really want and 2. Because of their poor service I wasn't going to take the time or the effort to get the router back to them. If they want it THEY can organise to get it collected.

STAY away from Webafrica. Absolutely disgusted by their ********* and predatory behaviour.

There is no clarity to be sought. My request was very clear and concise with no room for interpretation. I sold my property. Your services are no longer required. End of discussion.

If you hire employees who are incapable of understanding basic English. Again that is a failure of company policy not of the customer. I have also reported you to SAPS and to the ISPA as well.
