Order Delay-ET-010643

On their website they promise installation within 10 days and updates in rare cases where there are challenges. I ordered my fobre on the 31 of March and I've spent the entire day today trying to ask them why my order is not processed.

Hi  Bongi. We understand how frustrating it is not to have clear updates on your order, especially after setting expectations around installation timelines. You should always feel informed and confident about the progress. Your order is still within the standard 10 business day SLA, but to assist, we’ve reached out to our activation team handling Evotel orders to review the progress and ensure everything is moving as it should. You will receive live updates via SMS and email as your order progresses. We’re here to make this process as smooth as possible. If you’d like us to take a closer look or provide further updates, please send us a private message, and we’ll gladly assist. Warm regards,
 Webafrica Crew

Best regards,

Hi

Evotel canceled my installation because the complex I live in has no fibre infrastructure. This is their email below:

"Hello and welcome to Evotel

Your service request for 30/30Mbps Uncapped from WebAfrica has been cancelled.

Please visit the portal to sign up for a different service.

Goodbye,
The Evotel Fibre Team"

But WebAfrica sent me a router

Hi Bongi, thank you for sharing this, we understand how confusing this situation must be, especially after receiving a router while the installation was cancelled due to no fibre infrastructure at your complex. A request has been sent for one of our agents to give you a call and discuss suitable alternative options available in your area. This will help ensure you’re not left without a workable solution and can still get connected in a way that fits your location. If there’s anything specific you’d like us to consider ahead of the call, feel free to let us know so we can guide the discussion accordingly. Warm regards,
 Webafrica Crew

Best regards,

Hi

There is fibre infrastructure outside the complex, by Openserve, but the complex itself is not connected.
We are 7 units, and there is resident interest in getting fibre installed.
Please can you log an MDU (multi-dwelling unit) fibre installation request and escalate it to the network provider.
