One of the worst nightmares I have ever endured
This company should not be operating. I decided to move my hosting over from them to Mweb a year ago. The only reason I was with them was because the webdesigner advised it and at the time of my new websites going live, the company was called Websurf. Little did I know that a nightmare was starting because as we speak, my one domain is still with Webafrica (who bought out Websurf) inspite of receiving emails that my domain wasn't with Webafrica. To make matters worse, Webafrica still sent me bills for domain renewal despite me paying Mweb for that domain renewal. Never have I endured so much aggravation and bad service from one company, even when I was no longer their customer?! I still received emails from them with billing for the years hosting and domain renewal... Their "tickets" and replies kept arriving in my inbox. This even after many phonecalls to them telling them I am no longer their customer. To make matters worse, I received a bill from Gridhost, apparently part of Webafrica for the domain renewal this year!! They sent me an email last year confirming my domain was pointing away from them, they emailed me all this and then still, my domain has not been sent over to Mweb. I am appalled. This company dont know their ass from their elbow and there incompetence is none other than award winning incompetence. The entire process from start to (still not finished) has been none other than revolting. People wouldn't believe me if I told them how bad it is... WEBAFRICA are the worst company and I now realise why I left them. Not to mention even after I paid Mweb for the domain renewal, even after I requested all services be moved, they have my domain renewal on auto renewal without my consent, so when they sent me the bill (which kept on coming with final demands) I lost my ****. They passed a credit with the more emails confirming all services were with mweb... To my shock and horror, the story started all over again with Gridhost emailing me a bill for the domain renewal (apparently part of Webafrica) It is quite mind boggling that a company can ***** up so badly.... I am now in the process, again, of trying to move my domain over to Mweb, the cost in calls, my precious time, the number of emails and not to mention aggravation beyond aggravation is priceless, time, money and emotional turmoil Webafrica will never bother to even try and compensate me for. My personal cost of calls and time!! All because this company offer the worst service, do not take responsibility for their ***** ups and have the worst customer service ever. Besides the automated emails with tickets which you can only access if you were a customer.... haha, it is laughable, you are literally running around chasing your own tail with this bunch.....
Good morning Lynn.
I would like to apologize for the issue you experienced recently. I spoke to the person you were in contact with yesterday and was advised that there were two accounts in your name. The one was completely canceled off and the other only had an active domain. The hosting service for that domain was already removed. I was advised that you requested to "point" the domain to MWEB last year which was done by updating the name servers. If MWEB needed to manage the domain then a transfer request should have been sent from them to your mailbox. I took a screenshot of the online WHOIS information showing that we were still in control of the domain until after you accepted the transfer. I apologize for any confusion we may have caused. I can confirm that the domain is now with MWEB. I am available on Facebook and Twitter should you have any questions regarding this.
