No Service, Poor Support, Unfair Cancellation Fees

I signed up with Webafrica on 30 March 2026 and received my first router the same day. Despite receiving activation emails from Frogfoot (8 April) and Webafrica (9 April), I have had no internet connection to date.

Since 8 April, I’ve been in daily communication with support, but the setup repeatedly failed with the error “gateway credentials invalid.” Agents often disappeared mid-chat, dragged conversations into weekends, and told me the technical team doesn’t work on weekends.

I returned the first router and received a second one on 15 April, yet the problem persists. As of 18 April, I still have no service.

When I requested cancellation, Webafrica insisted on 30 days’ notice plus a R999 cancellation fee—despite never delivering a working connection.

Hello Thoko,

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this experience must be, especially after signing up, receiving equipment, and still not having a working internet connection despite ongoing communication and multiple troubleshooting attempts. We also understand your concern regarding delayed resolutions, inconsistent support responses, and the challenges experienced during this process.

We’ve followed up with Mothusi, who is actively working on resolving the issue. He has confirmed that the matter has been logged with Frogfoot for further investigation, and Frogfoot has since escalated it. We are currently awaiting additional feedback, and once received, Mothusi will be in touch with you directly. Urgency has been advised to ensure this is prioritised.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us on Hello Peter and we’ll assist you as quickly as possible.

Warm regards,
