No internet since 27 May and Webafrica doesn't care
I've had NO internet connection since 27 May 2026. I only found out there was an outage because I reached out to them - they never communicated it. We were first promised it would be back on 5 June. It's still not back. They then extended the turnaround time to 8 June. Again, I had to chase them for updates. The level of urgency from their side is zero. What's frustrating: I get daily payment reminders as the due date approaches, but they can't send 1 SMS/email about a 2-week outage affecting my service? We pay every month but get no service and no respect. Today I chatted with agent Zolani S. He left me on read mid-conversation and I had to end the chat myself. That's the level of customer care you get. I'm not happy with Webafrica at all. If you rely on internet for work like I do, avoid them. Paying for nothing and being ignored is not service.
We understand how frustrating and disruptive it must be to be without a working connection for this long, especially when you rely on it for work and daily use. Not receiving updates unless you actively follow up can add to that frustration and uncer*****y. The network provider is actively working on resolving the fault, and our Faults Team continues to engage with them to keep pushing this toward a resolution as quickly as possible. At this stage, all maintenance are expected to be completed today, and affected users’ connectivity should be restored once the work is finalised.
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out via direct message on Hello Peter, and we’ll gladly assist.
We will continue to monitor this closely and push for full restoration.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
