Nightmare in WebAfrica

I am extremely frustrated with how their handling of my subscription and billing issues. Here’s a summary of my experience:

Double Deduction in January: I was double charged along with my subscription fee. I raised this issue on January 31 and requested cancellation of my subscription. While the double deduction was resolved, my cancellation request was ignored.

Unauthorized March Billing: Despite moving on February 28, my account was debited again on March 1. When I inquired, I was informed that my subscription had not been canceled. I attempted to cancel again at this point.

Repeated Follow-ups: I followed up multiple times—on March 13, March 17, and March 25—before the cancellation was finally processed.

To anyone, please do not join WebAfrica. It has been a nightmare.

Reviewer Update
I am deeply disappointed with the way my situation has been handled, especially regarding the R999 cancellation fee. Let me clarify my concerns:
  1. Automatic Upgrade & Poor Service: I was an existing customer, and Webafrica automatically upgraded my package due to poor internet quality in my area. While I appreciated the attempt to improve service, the internet remained unreliable, and I had to complain daily after moving on January 1, 2023. Before this move, I had no issues with your service.
  2. Cancellation Fee: When I decided to cancel my subscription, I was informed that I needed to pay a R999 cancellation fee was introduced in March 2023. As an existing customer, I was never informed of this new fee when it was implemented, nor did I agree to these updated terms and conditions. If I had known about this fee beforehand, I would have reconsidered joining Webafrica in the first place.
  3. Unfair Practice: It feels unjust to charge me a cancellation fee when the poor service in my area was the primary reason for my dissatisfaction and eventual cancellation. Additionally, as a long-standing customer, I should not be penalized for changes made after my initial agreement with Webafrica.
