Most ****my fiber activation process
Worst ISP customer service ive ever experienced.
Their entire business process is built around *****ing money from potential customers first and then waiting for VUMA to deliver (which very rarely happens). Those maps that show you wether you are in a pink fiber ready zone are arbitrary and bear no real world meaning on VUMAs fiber network (vuma portal) This is because their GIS systems dont work with their maps and has always been broken, i heard it from an agent. The result is that webafrica takes your money knowing full well they wont have to render a service for many many weeks because they can just blame VUMA for hiccups.
Good luck trying to get an email from a service representative because they dont give out their emails. Neither do they ever call you back. They dont even send emails to their customers informing them of installation progress. If you want to know progress you have to go on whatsapp and contact them. Its extremely unproffessional. When you go on whatsapp they ask you immediately for your email but when you ask for their email they start citing company policy. If someone asks for your email its common courtesy to share your business email. But common courtesy is not very common at WebAfrica. Ive been asking to speak to a manager but all they keep saying is that he/she will call me but that will never happen. Their customer service policy is designed to shield them from accountability by hiding behind a whatsapp live chat and not giving out their work emails.
If youre with webafrica the only way to get them to do work or find out progress of work is to constantly ask them on tgeir live chat. Otherwise they are quite content to sit on your money and hope you forget.
In conclusion: - coverage map is meaningless and doesnt correspond to vuma portal - it may be designed this way to sap you of your funds and give them liquidity - little to no customer service - an internet company in 2022 with no business emails.
