Money *****ing Company - Web Africa: Poor service at its best
On the 8th of April I notified Webafrica via their whats app agent that I would be moving homes and wanted to terminate their services effective 30 April and look for something cheaper at the new property. The agent I had a chat with then highlighted a 30 calendar month notification implying the services would be cancelled by end May. He logged the cancellation. A week later, a retentions specialist called me and matched a market price and I agreed. On the 30th of April I notified him via email that I moved and the current router worked and had connection. He offered me a R 300 discount for the month. On the first of June I had no wifi and contacted him via the whats app. He explained that I needed to pay a connection fee for R499 which comes with moving and agreed. Web Africa had already charged me the monthly premium for R642 on the 1st of June. On the 3rd of June they deducted R1174.70. I questioned the retentions specialist who promised me that the money would be refunded less the R499 connection fee and offered me free service for July. 13 June, again the deducted R499 from account. I had another chat with the retention specialist and I explained all the deductions. To webafrica`s faulty the previous account was not cancelled only to be actioned 1 July. Regardless of the offer for a free month for July, R699 was deducted from my account. Up to now I have not received my refunds. I sent emails to the specialist and still no response.
