Misrepresentation and unwillingness to refund

Upon relocating to Kimberley from Port Elizabeth, we installed a Telkom Line for the purposes of ADSL only.
Once such was installed, I contacted Web AFrica upon the recommendation of a family member and requested an uncapped bundle for a 2Mb line. Some time into the contract, the bandwidth appeared to have some **** and upon phoning the helpline, the \Person"advised that this could be remedied by renting a 4Mb bundle.
Not being aux fait with the various items of terminology (which I have subsequently remedied)"

Hello Ingrid Sampson,

When you signed up with us on the 07 Feb 2013, you signed up for the ADSL Line 2 Mbps for R250.00 per month and the Home ADSL Uncapped 2Mbps for R239.00 per month.

However, in February 2014, Telkom gave customers free upgrades without increasing the ADSL line prices. Therefore, your line was upgraded by Telkom from 2Mbps to 4Mbps for the same price of R250pm. We sent emails to all our customers to notify them of these exciting news and gave our customers the option to upgrade the data since their line was upgraded by Telkom for free. But there are no records of you requesting to upgrade your data to the Home ADSL Uncapped 4Mbps, hence, your line was 4Mbps and your data was 2Mbps.

We listened to the call you made to us on the 19th of January and you spoke to Kevin who switched your data package to the capped service and we're sorry he didn't explain the above to you because there is no credit due because we are not at fault.

Furthermore, I've asked a senior from our ADSL team to contact you so he can explain the above information in detail.

Regards,
Mkhululi
