Misleading Advertising? Pathetic Accounting?

Since inception of my account with Webafrica on or about 17 March 2017, I have experience various difficulties with their accounting.

At the time I signed up, I was informed that the monthly payment for the Uncapped 50/50Mbps Fibre is R1099. I was also informed, as per your various adverti*****ts, that if I sign up with Webafrica I will receive a free router, installation and the first 3 months for free.

Notwithstanding the aforesaid, on or about 17 March 2017 I received an invoice for R1099. To my further shock, on or about 1 April 2017 i received another invoice, this time for R2098 - now suddenly my monthly subscription has doubled (their website on 1 April 2017 still reflect that your Uncapped 50/50Mbps fibre subscription is R1098!).

On 3 April 2017 my bank account (via debit order) was debited with the amount of R3197!.

I contacted their “Accounts Department” a few time and addressed various emails to them, whereafter, I was informed that it is indeed correct that March, April and May 2017 should be my “free” months. My account with Webafrica was then allegedly credited with R1099 and R2098, respectively. They however failed to refunded the amount of R3197!

The “Accounts Department” of Webafrica also had the audacity to inform me that “as you upgraded from a 50/5Mbps to a 50/50Mbps line the system says your monthly subscription is R2098!) - the Webafrica website still currently advertise the subscription price of a 50/50Mbps Uncapped line as R1099! It seems that the staff at Webafrica does not receive proper training in respect of the products they advertise and sell.

I now again received an invoice stating that I need to pay you the amount of R2098 for May 2017! I presume this amount will go off my debit order within the next few day!

I have tried during the last two days to phone the “Accounts Department” of Webafrica- without any success! The phone number does not get answered - I have hold on for in excess of 15 minutes on at least 3 different times! Understaffed or are all their account chaotic?

The service I received from Webafrica has truly been shocking and disappointing. Once is a mistake, but twice or more.......?

Considering the aforesaid, you choose if you want to deal with this company.
