Impossible to cancel service over Whatsapp, contact ISPA for mediation instead
TLDR: Give up trying to cancel your Webafrica serive via the Whatsapp line. Contact ISPA instead and get them to mediate the dispute. They resolved my issue with Webafrica in just over one week. https://ispa.org.za/code-of-conduct/mediation-process/
Webafrica will only offer technical and billing support over their Whatsapp line, they do not provide any email or phone channels of communication (conveniently for them they make an exception for for sales). This is a practice which I believe should not be allowed by the regulators. The Whatsapp chats are incredibly time-consuming and ineffective. The agents have very little context regarding your previous Whatsapp chats. This means that I spoke to no less than 20 agents while trying to cancel my service. At the start of each chat with a new agent I had to repeat my previous discussion. To any one caught up trying to cancel their Webafrica service through the Whatsapp line, just give up communicating with Webafrica and write to the Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) instead, and ask for mediation. ISPSA resolved the issue for me in just over a week, with very little input from myself.
