How to get shafted by Webafrica for two years
Unfortunately, my tech inexperience has resulted in me being taken advantage of by a big tech company. I have been paying Webafrica more for less for two years and their response is, well, we can upgrade you now. Needless to say, I have lost thousands of rands because Webafrica CHOSE to ***** over one of their customers who asked for an upgrade, was assured that it was in effect, clocked speeds that reflected an upgrade, and yet there is no record of an upgrade and apparently, those speeds appear to just have been "for the day", so to speak. It is incredulous to know that this service would have cost less in the long run and that they've been making money off me for something I thought I was getting, but wasn't. They've also advised that they can't go back in their records - how convenient! Thank you, Webafrica, for showing your true colours and taking money from someone that wasn't due to you. I don't mind businesses being about the bottom line, but at the expense of meeting the commitments to their customers and/or just plain ethics?! That just seems like a low blow. I guess I'll be looking for a company that doesn't build itself on *****ing others over.
