Horrible service from Call Centre staff

Horrible service from webafrica, 2 weeks to allocate payment to my account. Immediate payment was done on 6 May, 2 weeks later, still trying to find out whether it's allocated and if we can move onto step 2. Today I've spent 3 hours on webafrica app live chat, just to be transferred to 8 different people between billing and sales department with no success. I just need a manager to call me to have this Finalized once and for all, OR pay my money back as this is Not a good start to relationship. I'm extremely frustrated with the lack of service. CALL me!

Hi Amanda,  We understand your frustration, especially after making payment promptly and then spending hours being transferred between departments without getting a clear resolution. That’s understandably exhausting and not the experience you should be having at the start of a new service relationship. Please note that the matter has now been escalated to our billing team to allocate the payment on your account and investigate the delay in the processing. The team will review the proof of payment and account records to ensure this is resolved as quickly as possible so your order can proceed correctly. We appreciate your patience while this is being attended to and understand the urgency around getting this finalised. Warm regards,

Thank you for your reply. The payment was allocated on 14 May, they said it was allocated to my account today, but I was still transferred between billing and sales for 3 hours with no success to start the RICA process to get my Sim card. You will not believe the frustration I feel now, and when I've asked that a manager call me, I was told that will take another 72 hours, really? I am beyond irritated with this. I need this to be Finalized once and for all, 2 weeks and no Sim card yet....that's Ridiculous! Please, your call centre staff should be trained, they keep to their scripts, but no actua customer service at all. Transferring a customer 8 times within 3 hours...is that acceptable?

Hi Amanda, Thank you for the additional clarity. We completely understand why you’re this frustrated, especially after the payment was already confirmed as allocated and you still spent hours being transferred without getting to the point of completing the RICA process and receiving your SIM card. Being moved repeatedly between departments without a clear resolution is not the experience you should be having, particularly for something that should have progressed much sooner once payment reflected successfully. Your concerns regarding the repeated transfers, delays, and overall handling of the interaction have been noted alongside the ongoing SIM activation process. The team is currently reviewing the matter further to ensure the RICA and provisioning steps are properly progressed so this can finally move forward for you. We do appreciate your patience despite how difficult this experience has been so far. Warm regards,

Good morning. I still have not had any call from a Manager since my review. Yesterday I've received a message to request that I make payment, so I guess nothing has been resolved for almost 3 weeks now. If the following is not sorted by COB tomorrow 26 May then please cancel and return my funds to me:
* My payment of R250 of 6 May allocated to MY account
* Sim Rica finalized, and Sim delivery arranged AND expedited
* Call from a Manager

Hi Amanda,We understand your frustration, especially with the delays in getting clear feedback and follow-up on your request. That’s not the experience we want you to have, particularly after waiting for resolution over an extended period. We can confirm that your payment of R250 (6 May) has now been successfully allocated to your account, and we’ve also submitted a follow-up to urgently escalate the remaining outstanding issues, including the SIM Rica finalisation, delivery arrangement.We’re continuing to push this for resolution and will ensure you’re updated as soon as we receive feedback. Warm regards,

Good day, still no feedback from WebAfrica, the lack of customer service is concerning, especially where a new customer is involved... not a good way to start a relationship.
Please advise when I will be contacted or would you rather pay the money back so I can look for a service provider that's willing and able to assist?

Hi Amanda,
We understand how concerning this is, especially as a new customer, and this is not the way we want to start or build a relationship with you. Waiting without feedback after making payment and trying to get assistance is understandably frustrating.
Please be assured that this is actively being looked at. A follow‑up has been submitted again with urgency to ensure your request remains prioritised, and the relevant team has been asked to provide you with direct feedback as soon as possible. We will continue pushing for resolution and clearer communication so you’re not left wondering what is happening.
We remain focused on getting this resolved and ensuring you receive the feedback you’ve been waiting for.
Warm regards,

Good morning. Just wanted to let you know that I have received a message last night confirming that my Sim is ready for delivery, will receive a call within 72 hours. Is there anything else I need to do from my side to have this finalized asap?

Good morning Amanda,Thanks for the update, that’s great progress. Once you’ve received the message confirming your SIM is ready for delivery, you’re already most of the way there. At this stage, there’s nothing additional you need to do unless your contact details or delivery address have changed.The delivery team will contact you within the 72-hour window to confirm the final arrangements and ensure everything is set for handover. To help things move as smoothly as possible, just keep your phone available so you don’t miss their call.If anything changes on your side or you don’t hear back within the expected timeframe, feel free to let us know and we’ll follow up for you.Warm regards,
