Home Fibre move disaster
I have been with Webafrica using their Vuma fibre service for about 2 years, I recently moved houses and didn't want to change my service provider. I booked my move online on their site on the 25july for installation on 28 August before I move into my new home.
On the 28 the technical team came to have a look and scheduled the installation for the 29th. The teachnisions showed up cluess on what to do, he also said he can't install it here and gave no explanation, disconnected the neighbours internet and just left without any communication.
I then got a call from webafrica saying they need to lift the pavement and install the lines bare in mind there are 4 other units here who have fibre, she said the technical team will explain everything to me however they had already left.
I was promised a call back to discuss other options however no reached out. On the 30 I got an sms saying my fibre will be installed waited all day no one showed up. I then got a credit notice email from webafrica confused I contacted support
They informed me that my fibre installation has been rescheduled for 29 September, this was very dissapointing as I work from home and can't afford to wait an entire month for fibre!
Had I had known earlier I would have went with another service provider in order to cancel because I can't wait an entire month they want to charge me R1000 plus I have courier the modem etc to them at my own cost .
Im so disappointed as I ended wasting my time and have to now pay a cancellation fee when they clearly didn't deliver their service efficiently. I had to find another company and sign up with them. Missed an entire week worth of work
As if moving is not enough stress. I'm so disappointed
I would not recommend anyone using their move services.
