Garbage

My first review of Web Africa was four out of five stars. I said you would mostly have a good experience.

I take that back.

The longer I’ve had to deal with Web Africa, the worse it gets. Their support agents don’t seem to know what they’re talking about. Ask the same question twice and you’ll get different answers, usually wrong ones.

They send you in circles, waste your time, and seem to have almost no interest in fixing the actual problem.

At first, Web Africa seems okay. Give it time

Hello  Massimo We hear your frustration, especially around receiving inconsistent information and feeling like your issue is not being resolved clearly. That kind of experience is not what we aim to deliver, particularly during something as important as a home move and activation. We can confirm that our teams have connected to your chat session, and an urgent activation follow-up has been logged with our activations team for your moving home order. They are actively working on getting your connection fully functional as a priority and will continue progressing this until completion. We understand how disruptive repeated follow-ups and unclear responses can be. Your feedback has been noted and will be used to address internal consistency and support quality so that issues are handled more efficiently and accurately going forward. We remain focused on getting your service up and running as quickly as possible and ensuring you receive clear, consistent updates throughout the process.

Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew

Hello,

Reassurance from WebAfrica means absolutely nothing.

What would mean something is if someone who is capable takes my case and actually resolves the issue. However it’s been 4 days and that still doesn’t seem to be an option for you guys.

The solution is truly simple but no one at WebAfrica cares enough to do it.

I was also “reassured” two weeks ago when I placed my address moving order that this process would be simple and allow for minimum downtime. Is minimal downtime 4 days in your mind?

Hi Massimo,  We can see why you're feeling frustrated. From your perspective, you've received assurances over the past few weeks, yet you're still without service and waiting for a resolution. After four days of downtime, it's understandable that you'd want more than reassurance, you want to see tangible progress. A follow-up has been submitted to the Metrofibre team, and we can confirm that your matter remains under active investigation. Our teams are currently working on the relocation and service restoration process, and we've requested urgent feedback on the status of the case. We understand that the downtime you've experienced falls well short of the expectations set when the move order was placed. While we aren't able to provide a resolution until the investigation is complete, please be assured that the matter has not stalled and is receiving ongoing attention from the teams involved. We'll continue to follow up and provide updates as soon as further feedback becomes available. Warm regards,
 Webafrica Crew

Hi Webafrica Crew,

I appreciate the quick responses on HelloPeter. However, it is very concerning that there appears to be more urgency in responding publicly on this platform than there is in actually resolving the issue or communicating effectively through your service channels.

At this stage, I do not need further PR-style reassurance that the matter is being looked into or remains under investigation. I need the issue resolved. After FIVE days without service, words are no longer sufficient.

Unfortunately, Webafrica has not proven itself to be anything other than a poor service provider in this situation. The only way to correct this is through tangible action and actual service restoration, not repeated assurances on HelloPeter.

I also expect my monthly payment to be prorated accordingly, as I am not receiving the service I am paying for at all. Please kindly ensure that this is reflected on my account for this month.

Please provide a clear update on what is being done, who is responsible for resolving it, and when I can expect my service to be restored.

Hi Massimo,
Thank you for following up and for being clear about your expectations. It’s completely understandable to want more than reassurances at this point, especially after being without service for several days. When your connection is down, what matters is progress and a clear path to resolution.
The matter has been escalated and remains with the team handling activations, who are actively working with the network provider to restore your service. The urgency has been clearly communicated, and the focus right now is on getting your connection back online as quickly as possible so you can resume normal use without further disruption.
Regarding billing, please be assured that charges are only applicable once the service is active, so you are not billed for downtime where no service was available.
We remain focused on getting your service restored and ensuring everything is aligned correctly from both a connectivity and billing perspective going forward.
Warm regards,
Webafrica Crew
