Frustrating service and connectivity issues
We joined up with Webafrica when moving house, prior to this we were with Openserve and had no problems. We need to access the VPN of our company's overseas server to work remotely. Like we said, we had no problem with Openserve. day 1 with Webafrica we could not connect to the overseas VPN, we had a few weeks of setting changes and phone calls and plugging the laptop in to the modem and nothing, eventually they said they would charge us for a static line. it worked for one day, we then started working on site and we were able to connect with Afrihost and Telkom. A couple of weeks ago we decided we needed to connect again remotely as we could not keep using our cell phone and extra data, again nothing, we complained, and they tried the entire settings thing again and nothing. then we started with the back and forth again... Then after I asked to please cancel our services I was asked to please give them another chance Webafrica could resolve this, senior tech called to say he would call me when I am home to go through everything and it was a Webafrica problem. I rushed home and waited for the call and nothing.... I sent a cancellation request the next morning again, please note that due to it being a wats ap line you have to repeat the story over and over again to a new person each time. This day I had a lovely lady that said please give us another chance again, that evening I rushed home again and the tech assisted me and we could connect. Then next day we were down again..... I emailed the tech no response. I sent through another cancellation and had to repeat the entire story again, however this time I will not reconsider. Webafrica credited me for the bad service last month, however we have been paying extra for a line that doesn't even work, and now they want to charge a R1000 cancellation fee, which I totally understand for customers who might mess Webafrica around, however it is not our decision to cancel on our own, we are being forced to cancel as they cannot give us the service they promise.... so how is that fair? most of the service is just terrible.... the wats ap system is so bad, you cannot get through to the call center and not one person can resolve our problem, at this moment we cannot connect to anything that is on an overseas server. I have cancelled and would like our R1000 cancellation reversed. This is the most frustrating service provider to deal with.
