Failing to provide products as advertised
I want to file a complaint for failure to provide a service from Web Africa as advertised.
I opted for the best/fastest package available from Telkom LTE and accepted it. My service was ordered and set up during Dec 2023. I paid for a Telkom LTE 4G 2 TB package, which means I should be able to use up to 2TB as that is what I am paying for.
I never intended to use 2TB though, but there must be some reasonable link between the speed of my service vs what I am paying for.
The average speed since the service has been activated has been from 0.5MBps to 5MBps mostly. At a brief period the speed tests increase to above 20Mbps so I know that the product is able to deliver at least what is reasonable, which is actually over 20MBps. You would need that speed and higher to get close to start using some of the 2TB data I am paying for.
In terms of assisting with issues logged, Web Africa has failed dismally and the consultants try to convince me that I should be happy with my under performing product, even if I am paying for much more every month.
Telkom EVENTUALLY came to our house, communication was poor and nothing arranged ahead of when they did which meant only my wife was at the house. The technician made her believe that the product is functioning as it should and managed to decrease what was already a very slow performing product. Since he came to the house our speed tests have been slower than when we logged the slow speed.
At what point does this get flagged as a client of Web Africa not getting what they are paying for? AT what point does Web Africa try to resolve the issue with Telkom, instead of just insisting it is a Telkom issue?
I plan to cancel my product, to no surprise I can only do that at the end of February, even though I never received the product as advertised, how is that fair?
I have over 50 speed tests that I have completed during Dec till today 12th Jan 2024 where it clearly shows how badly the product is performing, speeds as low as 0.5MBps!
I am extremely disappointed in the service from Web Africa, I am a Web Africa customer, not a Telkom customer, but I am simply left to try to be happy with an obviously inadequote product compared to what I am paying for.
The experience has been so bad these last few months, that I plan to cancel my products with Web Africa and warn any friends or family about my experience.
