TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!
● On the 29th of October, we app**** with WebAfrica ● Installation was done on the 8th of November with Zoom. ● On the 11th November was my first complaint. I was not aware that there would be 2 routers, so we tried to connect to the one we had, which they refer to as an ONT box, said connected without internet. I chatted to Sfiso M on whatsapp, their ONLY CONTACTABLE PLATFORM, and he then informed me about the second router. ● On the 12th of November, I received my second router and followed the instructions I received on email to set it up. We left it about ten to fifteen minutes, and the internet light was still red. We left it on and saw that after an hour, the internet light was still red. We did try to connect to the network. However, it said incorrect password. ● On the 13th of November was my second complaint on whatsapp, and I chatted to yolanda. We went through the process trying to reset the router, but nothing worked. This agent wasted 2 hours of my time. Asking me to do the same thing over and over again. She even asked me to borrow a laptop from somebody. My partner also tried to get assistance from them the same night, and he spent another two hours chatting with Jean-Pierre. ● On the 14th of November, a Zoom technician came home and checked out the Zoom installation and router (which they referred to as an ONT box) and gave me a report stating everything was good on their side. We did try to get assistance on whatsapp, and nothing worked. We asked to speak to a manager and Matthew Jacobs gave us a call, at the end of the call he informed us he would send us a new router, because they did try to resolve the issue remotely however nothing worked. He also said that he would send an email with the date of delivery for the new router in the morning because it was after hours at this point. ● On the 15th of November, I did not receive an email from Matthew. ● On the 18th of November, I tried to get an update on the date of delivery, and I was transferred three times. The first agent I chatted to was Firdows Van. The second agent I chatted to was Sfundo S, and the third agent I chatted to was Winnie. I then asked Winnie to ask Matthew to give me a call because, at this point, I'm exhausted from chatting to so many people just to get an update. Matthew then gave me a call and informed me that I should receive my router latest by wednesday 20th November. ● On the 20 of November, I received an email from Matthew stating that he had done some investigating with their top technical team, and they advised that a new router would not fix the issue present. He also made an appointment with my partner but never kept it, wasting our time yet again. Till now, 3 weeks later, we have yet to receive a call from any employees from Web Africa with any resolution to rectify the issue. ● On the 21st of November, I sent Matthew an email to give my partner a call and no response or contact from him yet again.
They are now trying to pass the buck on Zoom as they have a policy which states that they will credit R1000.00 to the account holder if the installation/activation is not done within 21 days.
