Dishonest WebAfrica

We signed up for uncapped internet after we saw the special price of R399 pm while browsing the net. The call agent assured that it is R399 fixed price with no contract period. We told him it must be fixed price of R399 without any increases and he gave us his assurance. When my first bill arrived in Sept 2020 I thought it was a mistake and did not worry. When my Oct bill came I saw that they charged me R499. I called WebAfrica and they stated that OpenServe increased the fee to R499. I reiterated that my dealings is with them and not OpenServe. They just said there is nothing they can do and left it at that. I appealed to the Consumer Goods Commission but they referred me to the ISPA who is handling the matter. The service and dishonesty of the selling agents is pathetic. Once they got you cannot get out unless 12 months has lapsed - this is when they have recovered their monies from you. They even promise free installation - don't believe this from any provider - nothing in this world is "free". Keep clear from dishonest service providers.
