Disgusting Customer Service

Web Africa is the least customer friendly internet service provider period!!!

On 31st August 2018 at approximately 17h00, I made a call to the technical support desk for assistance with slow internet speeds I had been experiencing for the past few days. I was on hold for approximately 35 minutes before giving up.

To make matters worse while on hold I forced to listen to some guy tell the worst jokes over and over again. This was one of the reasons I decided to try and call back the next day. Sadly, I think the jokes were better then than the customer service. Which was **********!

The next evening I tried calling again. And after enduring another 15 minutes of the same terrible joke I finally got a response.

Upon explaining my situation to the technician, he informed me that it was not a problem with Web Africa but with the RAIN network. And that there was nothing he could do to fix it. RAIN would have to correct the problem and the timeline for this was in November at that earliest. When I told him that this was unacceptable, he offered up the possible solution of resetting the router. Which both him and I knew would not work.

My question to him was why I as a paying customer was not informed of the network problems being experienced by RAIN? And that Web Africa has subsequently dropped them as a provider. Why had they not done due diligence beforehand instead of leaving their customers with the headache and terrible service?

The other aspect of the call which I was totally disgusted in was when I asked about the process of cancelling my LTE contract. I was informed that upon cancellation I would be required to deliver the router to a location quite is distance from where I reside, or be liable for the full cost of the year old router.

It is clear to me that Web Africa has absolutely no interest in looking after and retaining there customers. I have been with them for 8 years and this is how I am treated. Utterly Shocking!!!
