Deeply Disappointed – Webafrica Is Not Delivering What They Promise
I don’t usually leave reviews, but after weeks of ongoing frustration with Webafrica, I feel compelled to share my experience in the hopes of warning others and possibly getting the company to take some accountability.
I am currently paying R800 per month for what is supposed to be high-speed internet, yet what I’m getting doesn’t even come close. On a good day, I’m seeing download speeds of 1.52 Mbps, yes, you read that correctly. One point five two. In 2025. For “high-speed” fibre. This is not only unacceptable, it's downright embarrassing for a company that markets itself as a modern and reliable ISP.
The daily lag is unbearable. Streaming anything? Forget it. Online meetings? Constant buffering and dropouts. Even browsing simple websites or checking emails feels like a c****. I might as well be back on dial-up.
The most frustrating part is the complete lack of communication or action from their support team. I’ve reached out multiple times, and every time I’m met with the same cookie-cutter responses: “We’re looking into it,” “Please restart your router,” “We’ve escalated the issue.” Weeks go by, nothing changes, and I’m still stuck paying a premium for a service that performs worse than budget options.
It's become clear that Webafrica is more focused on onboarding new customers with flashy advertising than actually delivering consistent, quality service to the people who are already paying them. I’ve tried to be patient, but my patience has run out.
At this point, I am seriously considering switching to a different ISP, and I urge anyone reading this to do your research before committing to Webafrica. If you're looking for reliable, high-speed internet, look elsewhere. They are not living up to their promises, and you're more likely to end up frustrated, like me.
